The room looked clean. We spent the first 2 days and night in the hotel room and ended up with streap throat. It could be completely unrelated but we didnt exit the hotel for those 2 days. The customer service was great! It really wouldn't have been a bad stay if we would have not gotten sick!!

Wow for the California. Great hotel and I will stay there again. Better than I expected. Great location and nice to have two other sister casinos within a short walk from each other. It was great for the price but if your expecting opulence this would not be the spot but if your looking for a great deal for Freemont street this is the place to stay.

My family and I really enjoyed this hotel, it was our first stay there and will definitely not be our last. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were cheap, especially for Memorial Day weekend and very clean and modern. The hotel restaurants had great food at a cheap price which is unusual for Vegas today, Laughlin prices are way lower. The hotel is also half a block from Fremont street. Their parking seemed to be overtaxed for the weekend until I realized they had two parking structures. I will definitely be going back with my family and now I recommend the Californian to my friends, family and co-workers.

My Girlfriend and I decided to stay at the Hotel California during the busy Memorial Day Weekend. We are both in our early 20's and wanted something cheap and close to Downtown LV, NV. The Hotel Exceeded our expectations in every way. Litraly a 1 minute walk to the Fremont Street experience, excellent service from the staff (we did tip a lot though), Free Valet, Great Breakfast at Cafe in hotel, inexpensive room that was suprisingly comfortable, clean and newly renovated. Overall this was one of the best trips I've ever had in LV, NV and we go very often (given that we are from the SO-Cal area it's a close drive). Highly recommend this Gem!!
